Silver Cord
The Silver Cord Award honors high school students who complete at least 120 hours of community service between their sophomore and senior years. Recipients receive a silver cord to wear at graduation, awarded during Senior Awards Night each May.
Service hours must address a clear need for organizations such as schools, churches, charities, or community events and go beyond regular commitments.
- The Silver Cord program is student-driven.
- Students must arrange their volunteer activities, follow through and complete all activities independently.
- Log completed hours in SchooLinks.
Hours Recorded Before January 10, 2025
Approved community service hours submitted before this date will be automatically uploaded to SchooLinks. No action is needed.
