After Prom Donations
Ankeny's Junior, Senior Prom will be on Saturday, April 17 2010. After Prom Party follows the dance from midnight till 5:30 a.m. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend, whether or not they attend the Prom dance. Last year, over 950 students were treated to a SAFE, fun-filled evening. It takes the support of parents and the community to make this a worthwhile event. We ask parents of all junior and seniors for a $25.00 donation to help defray the costs of this worthwhile event. Parents are welcome to mail their donation to Ankeny After Prom, PO box 1181, Ankeny, IA 50021. Seniors may mail a small baby picture and wallet size senior picture for the "Senior Wall." Keep in mind the pictures will NOT be returned. Please write your students name on the back of both pictures. Money and Pictures will be accepted until March 31, 2010. However for planning purposes, your prompt attention is greatly appreciated . Thank you for making After Prom an exciting SAFE alternative for our students. Questions? Email: ankenyafterprom@q.com

High School Students Need Primary Sources
AHS students in American Culture class are working closely with the Ankeny Area Historical Society to document history using primary sources. The students use many kids of cutting edge technology to make video and audio recordings. Right now the Museum is in need of people who have personal knowledge of World War II, the Ordnance Plant, the Vietnam War, and the Ankeny Roller Rink. If you have any personal experiences with any of these topics, we would love to interview you about your experiences and preserve them for future generations of students. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Kauffman or Mr. Fedders and Katy.Kauffman@ankenyschools.org or Lyle.Fedders@ankenyschools.org.
