The Iowa High School Press Association’s spring contest judges choose the best of the best, the most quality work from high school journalists across the state, and in both print and web. Ankeny High competes with class C schools due to its size, which means The Talon is up against phenomenal, impressive, groundbreaking student publications across the state that have been in the scholastic journalism business for a very long time. And The Talon is only a year and a half old, and we’re just getting started. Adviser Hansen cannot wait to see what they do next.
