Congratulations to Talon reporter Amber Eft for earning a Best of School Newspapers Online award! Amber’s exceptional feature profile, “Garrett Hemmingsen: The first male to ever join the AHS dance team,” showcases the inspiring story of junior Garrett Hemmingsen, the first male member of the Ankeny High School varsity dance team. Through perseverance and passion, Garrett has broken barriers and paved the way for future dancers.
