Ankeny ACT scores improve in every category; composite average tops 24 points for the first time -
Continuing a long-term trend of increasing scores, students in Ankeny have again raised the bar for the school district’s composite average score on the ACT®.  Graduates from the Class of 2014 achieved an average score of 24.1, the first time the district has topped the 24-point mark in this measure. Additionally, students equaled or improved upon the best marks from the past five years in all tested categories, with highlights of a 24.3 average in both reading and science.  Read the full ACT article here.
Record number of Ankeny students are AP Scholars -
A record 93 members of the Ankeny Schools' Classes of 2014 and 2015 have earned College Board AP Scholar Awards in recognition of exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement (AP) Exams. This is the largest number of Ankeny students ever honored by the College Board, and it continues a long-term trend of increasing numbers of AP scholars in Ankeny. In addition to being named AP Scholars, 18 students were designated AP Scholars with Honor and 26 students were designated AP Scholars with Distinction. Three students were named National AP Scholars, equaling the district’s high point for this honor.  Read more and see the honored students here.
