Financial Aid Resources


This program administers a $22 million federal grant to get more low-income students to college. GEAR UP Iowa currently supports more than 7,000 students who are beginning their freshman year in 26 high schools. Find out more information about GEAR UP Iowa.

Finding Help with Financial Aid

Looking for financial aid and assistance? The Iowa College Student Aid Commission has over 40 years of of experience connecting students with the resources and services today’s families need to fund higher education.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

To determine a student’s eligibility for financial aid and to start the process all students should complete a Free application for Federal Student Aid. A completed FAFSA serves as an application for State of Iowa scholarships and grants. Find out more on FAFSA.
